About the lab

About Ishikuro Laboratory

Ishikuro Laboratory focuses on the design of low-power CMOS integrated circuits. We maintain a flat organizational structure where the professor and students communicate closely while advancing research. The lab is divided into three research groups, each tackling distinct topics. We warmly welcome international students and have experience hosting students from various countries.

About Ishikuro Laboratory

A Day in the Lab

There are no core hours; you can pursue research at your own pace. The lab is divided into three teams by research theme (Cryo, ADC, Sensor), each holding a weekly meeting to report progress and discuss work. CAD tools are used for IC design, and you will have opportunities to prototype and measure actual chips. Senior students provide thorough guidance, so prior circuit design experience is not required.

A Day in the Lab

Research Themes

We tackle a wide range of topics including quantum computer control circuits (CryoCMOS), high-performance ADCs, bio-sensing circuits, power conversion circuits, artificial olfactory systems, and wireless power transfer. You can choose a topic that matches your interests and career goals.
